OUR PATENTED CLEANING PROCESS
The DUCTZ patented cleaning process adheres and exceeds to all NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) standards.
This is the national standard that is recognized as the best and most responsible way to remediate an HVAC system.
Our process involves any number of 127 identifiable and distinct tasks. It demands an array of tools, machinery and supplies. And it includes our exclusive patented cleaning process, which involves the application of a metallic barrier in the air handler, eliminating fiberglass shedding and preventing the fiberglass from acting like an absorbent sponge, which collects dirt and moisture and creates a breeding ground for mold, bacteria and fungi.

PROCEDURE — WHAT DOES A TYPICAL CLEANING PROCESS ENTAIL?
The DUCTZ
scope of services is divided between consulting and remediation.
Our consulting service typically includes:
- Assessments of facility operations and HVAC/air conveyance systems
- Inspections of air handlers, ductwork, shafts, chases, plenums, pipes, walls, ceilings and floors utilizing cable video, fiber-optic, borescopic and robotic equipment
- Documentation of inspection and assessment, including photos, videos and mechanical hygiene reports.
5 STEPS TO CLEAN AIR
The steps involved in our remediation services include:
- Containment technology: creating customized build-out containments and utilizing HEPA-filtered vacuums and collection devices
- Physical agitation that is implemented with compressed air powered brushes, air sweeps and whips
- Source removal, such as insulation and filtration medium, particulate matter and chemical and biological contamination
- Treatment that involves application of mechanical insulation repair coating and EPA-registered sanitizing agent.

Our crews are certified to perform work at all industrial facilities. We are able to comply with job-specific requirements. Prior to starting a project, we make every effort to correspond or meet with the Safety and Health Department of the facility to verify that all of our certifications are in order. INSTITUTIONAL
DUCTZ
has had the privilege of improving air quality in several hospitals and schools. We recently completed a project to clean the air conditioning systems and ductwork in a large hospital. The project was done in several phases to accommodate the hospital's schedule and to allow them to move patients, employees and visitors to other areas while that area was being cleaned. Several public school boards have contracted us to perform air quality testing and to clean, coat and sanitize the HVAC units and ductwork in schools and other buildings within the school district. Likewise, major universities have contracted us to clean, coat and sanitize the HVAC units and ductwork in several buildings on their campus.
We make special arrangements to schedule our work during times that will cause the least amount of interruption in our customer's daily operations. Another concern that affects institutions is containment of the work area, especially when mold remediation is performed. We build a containment barrier around the area being worked on to seal off the area. This prevents releasing mold and other contaminants in the air. Once the project is completed, we properly dispose of the waste to prevent recontamination.
Safety issues are also a concern for medical centers, schools and other institutional settings. We follow site-specific safety regulations. OSHA regulations and other safety guidelines are followed. Our company has won NADCA Safety Awards for the last several years, ensuring our customer that their project will be performed properly and under safe conditions.

GOVERNMENTAL
Several governmental agencies on the Federal, State and Local levels have contacted DUCTZ
to perform IAQ evaluations of their HVAC systems in their office buildings and other facilities. Based on our evaluations, we were able to develop a scope of work necessary to make needed corrections.
DUCTZ
was contracted to perform the first phase of cleaning and sanitizing the HVAC systems in a state governmental agency office building. In these large facilities, our work is often done in phases so as not to disturb the function of these agencies. Recently, this allowed us to re-inspect the work done in Phase I of a building. We were pleased to find that after 10 years, the condition of the ductwork previously cleaned in Phase I was in the same condition as when we initially completed the project.

MARINE
DUCTZ
is capable of performing work on any type of marine vessel. We have performed services on yachts, drill ships, service vessels and naval vessels. We can perform these services while a vessel is in dock, while in operation or while underway to a new location. We are capable of performing total duct cleaning on these vessels including galley hoods and dryer vents.
To complete a recent project, we boarded a vessel on the Gulf Coast and began our work. The vessel was scheduled to leave before the project was completed, so DUCTZ
continued the work as the vessel traveled across the Gulf of Mexico to Vera Cruz, Mexico.

OFFSHORE
DUCTZ
has the experience and expertise to handle any air quality problems which may be present on offshore rigs. We are capable of performing a complete duct cleaning on these rigs, which includes galley hoods and dryer vents.
Here’s an example of a project that reflects our ability to handle any offshore rig air quality situation. In 2002, DUCTZ
sent three crewmembers to evaluate, clean and sanitize the air conditioning ductwork on six offshore rigs located off the coast of Nigeria, Africa. The project was completed ahead of time due to our resources and capabilities.
Over the past several years, we have done testing and air quality services for many of the companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico. Our work on these rigs never interfered with the daily operation of the rig.
